Andy Robertson’s football story is an astonishing tale of perseverance reaping rewards.

Rejected by boyhood club Celtic as a youngster, Robbo wouldn’t give up on his dream of playing professional football.

A few eyebrows may have been raised when Liverpool FC signed him in the summer of 2017 as he had just been part of a Hull City side relegated to the Championship.

Yet the Reds knew the Scot’s ceiling was high and though it took him a few months to establish himself in Jürgen Klopp’s team, Robertson’s rise was remarkable.

Now in his ninth and final season at Anfield, the no26 is captain of his national team and a bona fide Liverpool FC legend.
